My aunt died last week, aged 32. My uncle is devastated... they were so in love. I'm trying to help sort out his finances, even might be helping dig the grave for him (he thought it might be cathartic, I think it's noble) but I'm feeling really helpless. The box idea probably sounds stupid and ridiculous now that you're grieving for your aunt, but it is a beautiful way to honour her memory, so go on and do it.

Oh god. :/ Hearing that she even had so many illnesses is horrible. The best you can really do is support him in this way. With the finances and the organisation of the funeral. And just be there, he will appreciate it.
