My company bought a goat in honor of my mom. I love this. Apparently they asked Tyler what would be an appropriate tribute and he threw out The Heifer Project among some other things, and that's what they went with. So the goat won't be around the office or anything, it'll be with some third world family that needs a goat. I am so very touched -

Yeah. I like that.

I have been talking to my mom out loud sometimes, when that seems like the thing to do. I personally don't believe she can hear me, but you never know. It seems to work for me.

I totally had the same experience when Elizabeth Edwards died. I picked up my phone and scrolled down to Ande and then remembered that she isn't there to answer. It hurt all over again.
