WHY are they trying to purify the domestic "breed"? HOW is that going to help deal with the wild hog population? ??? I suppose you are so furious because the whole program is pointless. I bet mixed breed pigs taste pretty good too, esp with BBQ sauce on them.

Well, yes, sooooo pointless - except it fulfills the plan of Big Agra to scare and control small farmers, as with Big Dairy scaring the raw milk consumers and producers.

Even if there was any genetic science in their attempt to "purify the breed," what they are doing is insane, and a profane waste of tax-payer $$$.

Of course, mixed breeds would be hardier as well. But the tastiest would be those fed on grass and such, but not too grisly. I do love ham, but eat very, very little, averaging about a gram a year now - ha ha. My greatest fury here is over the abuse of the innocent animals.
