We speculated that Reid has a tattoo, and gave each other the story challenge of "Reid has a tattoo, and Emily happens to see it." We haven't seen each other's stories

Aw, thank you! What a nice bit of feedback. What I hoped to convey with their silence was that at first, it was that they didn't really WANT to talk about it, and by the time they wanted to talk about it, they had moved past the need to talk at all.

This is incredibly sweet and stirring. I've read it through twice now and only feel like I've scratched the surface.(I have to admit tho that the first time I read the accident part I read quickly bec. I wanted to make sure Emily and the baby were OK - I'm a worrier!)I love the concept that "BAU/Reid", the shy mouth machine can be the silent passionate lover as you've portrayed him here because he and your Emily have so much depth to them. Great story, and of course any sequel will be quickly devoured!
