It is a truth universally acknowledged that no matter what you do, you cannot, you will NEVER, get your hair to look the way it looked when your hairdresser styled it.
Alas and alack, I know this too well. My most recent haircuts, in early June and mid-July, were a slightly different style than I'd had for the past couple years - a little shorter with more "texture" (like I need any more with this mop of curly hair, but I did ask for it). No matter what I do to try to finger style it, the mop never looks anywhere close to what my stylist did. Maybe if I degunk it (I need to find a good clarifying shampoo that won't break the bank) and get all the residual product out, that will give me a clean slate to try to improve things. But right now I'm not terribly happy with my hair, which sucks because I usually love it.
