Recipes from the weekend

It is a truth universally acknowledged that no matter what you do, you cannot, you will NEVER, get your hair to look the way it looked when your hairdresser styled it.

Recipe time.

Had Brian and Dayna over for dinner and I wanted to make some cooler summerish food without grilling because I am resisting grilling for reasons not entirely clear. So I ended up with a tomato-and-mozzarella pasta dish, a green-bean-and-celery side dish, and a Splenda peach-and-raspberry cobbler for dessert. All three turned out great. Links go to the recipes. I tweaked the cobbler just a tiny bit by adding almond extract to the fruit and to the dough. I also made homemade whipped cream for it with Splenda and almond extract. I loved the cobbler. The green bean salad's dressing was really good although I needed more beans and less celery. The tomato pasta was pretty standard stuff, penne with sliced tomatoes in olive oil with cheese and balsamic, you've had something like it before, probs.
