I've been a lurker on your various groups and lj for a few years now, and I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for freely providing the best hp fanfiction I've ever read, for unknowingly providing direction in my life and being a role model, and for being so honest with all your fans. I hope, along with everyone else, that HWTF can be finished, but even if it isn't, I'll be smiling at the end.
Thank you so much for the update Lori, the PoU series was the first ever HP fanfic I read, and the only one I read for quite some time. I truly commend you for your writing and opening a whole new fandom world up to me, in which I've had so much fun.
Much as I love PoU, it's honestly quite a while since I've read or thought about any of it for more than a passing moment. Although I'm eager to find out how it ends I'm more than happy to wait until the mood strikes you to finish writing, or say that you really don't think it's going to happen before I read the spoilers!
Anyhow, I want to thank you and wish you all the best with getting Third published (when you do, and yes it is a when not an if, I'm certainly going to buy a copy). Also I'm going to continue lurking around here, just because your blog is a pleasure to read.

I'm sure this is true for most readers, as evidenced by the relatively small amount of comment on this post compared to past posts about HWTF. This is a relief to me, and really just as it should be.
Thanks for your good wishes! Glad to hear you'll stick around.
I did not read your spoiler post. ;^) I thought about it. I even clicked on the first image link only to discover that the picture had been taken down. Adn then my husband ran screaming out of the room with his fingers in his ears hollering "lalalalalala!" at the top of his lungs and I changed my mind. I can hold out for another six days. I think.
But I have to say - your compromise wrt HWTF is just the one I would have suggested, and I look forward to reading how the story ends, even in summary form. If/when you actually write the last chapters, I'll read them, too.
I'm quite certain that the crowd that seems to think that they are owed chapters of fanfic on a regular basis won't be happy. But really... would they EVER be?
