That seems like a good compromise to me. I vacillate on spoilers, so I might or might not read the summary. Anyway, wanted to tell you that while I found your journal through fanfic (like so many other people) I also stuck around cause I enjoyed your blog. Thanks!
In other spoiler-related notes -- I've decided not to read DH spoilers. I just find myself insanely curious about the fandom reaction from people who DID read them -- do you know, is it exploding?
Thank you so much Lori for all of the fanfiction you've written. the PoU trilogy is the one story that I continually recommend to pretty much every Harry Potter fan I meet. It was one of the very first fanfics I ever read (in any fandom) and it was what ultimately lead me to be a Harry/Hermione shipper because the relationship between them was so real and believable and followed so well with canon. Again, thank you so much.
I've actually held off reading your HP fanfic til you were finished but this sounds like an excellent compromise. Reminds me of how Entertainment Weekly gives a "what would have happened" on cancelled tv shows.
I think that is an excellent compromise. You won't have to feel guilty about leaving us hanging, and we'll get the answers we're waiting for, albeit in a condensed format. And if you do end up writing the last chapters, I'm positive they'll still be thoroughly enjoyable, despite knowing how they end.
Whatever form we get the ending in, thank you very much in advance. For the ending, and for all of it. It's an incredible piece of work, and, to a large extent, it's what really pulled me into Harry Potter fandom and fanfic. It was one of the first fics I read, and has become something of a standard to which I hold everything else - not to mention becoming practically canon in my mind. So, I look forward to the conclusion - and hopefully to a couple more chapters. :)
