I had this feeling I'd be spamming LJ today. And behold how right I was.

My bathroom cleaning difficulties of last night accompanied by near-asphyxiation on bleach fumes led me to think about Death By Innocent Object. I bet a lot of us had moments when we were nearly killed by something innocuous or stupid, not something more traditionally

I was almost killed once by bathroom cleaning. You, Ms. Chemist, will be mortified to learn that somehow, I never got the memo about mixing bleach with ammonia. Granted, I used very small amounts of both, but still, I'm lucky I didn't end up in the E.R., much less dead.

I had the opposite problem. I was in the passenger seat, the driver got into an accident, and the food I was holding got all over me. I had go into the ER smelling strongly of Chinese takeout...

I was almost killed by Pledge duster. We were cleaning an older relatives house, and i was dusting a secretary in her living room. Well, i was dusting the legs thoroughly and must have gotten some of it (a lot) on the floor, and when i walked away, i slipped on the spray on the floor and cracked my head on the coffee table.

The most interesting one to date for me just happened. We got a pool this summer and I typically do not do the maintenance on it (partner's job) Well he asked me to check the clorine level, he warned me not to stand over the clorine puck cannister. Of course, I didn't think it would be as strong as it was....and almost passed out in less than five seconds. Duh?!
