Whew. The adjuster left me a message informing me that he'd written the body shop a check, minus my deductible, and that my car would be fixed. Not totaled. Yay! He also assured me that all my rental car days would be paid for...because the repairs are going to take over a week! Yikes! Looks like more pimpin' in the mini for me ( Read more... )

My mother drives a chevy venture Cherry red Mini-van.

Growing up, my best friend insisted that when I learned to drive, and got to drive it around, that I put pink or red ground effects lights on the bottom. It would have been sweet. LoL

Also, another friend of mine drove her mom's van around, and it was dubbed "Big Red." You knew you were cool when you arrived at a House party in Big Red.

On another note...

congrats on finally having something *concrete* that you can pass around, edit, physically scibble all over. Kinda a neat Christmas present for yourself, huh?

Yay on the not-totalled car. Whew. And about your mom; she must be tres cool.

As for Third, I promise to start reading it tonight, as soon as I get done with some beta-reading I promised someone earlier. So much to read, so little time.

Thank you, Lori! :) Your book sounds fascinating. I enjoy reading things that challenge/examine society's notions of what is right or proper or moral. I don't think you'll be stoned, either. lol. I truly look forward to reading your book - and not just becuase I already know you're a good writer. :)

I just wanted to tell you, Dear Lori, that it is acceptable to begin drinking at 5 pm on a friday night. In fact, I'd be willing it's kinda okay to begin drinking at 3 pm on a friday afternoon. I'll test that theory out next weekend for ya.
