Eh, I shipped Luke/Leia... no wonder I'm so delusional ;)
Also I think I shipped (back before I knew what shipping was) Gilligan/MaryAnn, Laura/Almonzo, Jo/Laurie in Little Women (*sigh*), Kevin/Winnie on Wonder Years (I know, setting myself up for more heartbreak)...Scarecrow/Mrs. King...and of course, Mulder/Scully. LOL I've forgotten all the TV shows I used to watch.
Oh! Oh! I just posted below, but I too was/am a Jo/Laurie fan! I didn't think there were many of us out there. And I didn't mention this but I am also a Mulder/Scully fan.
OMG! I've been going through trying to find something earlier than Lee and Amanda (I believe my first TV ship, bit I can't remember if they were earlier than Remington Steele), and I think you've got it! I loved those two together, especially in the movie.
There's another odd one out there I shipped really early- Esteban and Zia from "The Mysterious Cities of Gold" anime on Nickelodeon in the 80's. I had to have been 6 or 7 at the time...must have been precocious (sp?) about shipping.
Chip/Gadget - Rescue Rangers. I was maybe 7. Of course this wasn't active crazy 'shipping ::cou[h/hr]gh:: but when I look back on it...yeah, I totally 'shipped them.
