I voted for TExas cuz that's where I live and we do everything we can to promote Texas. If you do, go to Austin or San Antonio. Dallas is boring and Houston is ugly and has traffic like you complained about every day.

I actually have some family in Fort Worth who I'm sure would be glad to have me visit them.

And I CAN'T go to Texas and not go to Dallas. They'd take away my JFK conspiracy buff membership card.

That's a good point! The Sixth Floor Musuem is really cool. And Ft. Worth is neat, much more interesting than Dallas. I probably don't appreciate Big D as much as I should since I live here. There is a frozen custard place called Wild About Harry's, though! ;) Austin has a great music scene and the Universtiy and the Capitol (made entirely of pink granite) and San Antonio has great history (The Alamo, numerous Spanish missions) and is a great multi-cultural city. There is a great river in New Braunfels (1/2 way between Austin and SA) to go tubing down. It's not nearly as active as it sounds. YOu rent an innertube for yourself, and one (with a bottom) for your cooler of beverages, and float down the river for a few hours. Very nice. You can hop out of the river in Greune (pronounced Green) Texas and go dancing to live music at the Greune Hall, I believe the oldest dance hall in Texas.

I sound like a freaking tourism advisor, don't I?

If you decide Canada is a new and funky place to visit, I have an empty couch here in Ottawa for the taking. :)

Come to Dallas. I'll drive up and we can play. I grew up there so I know lots of cool stuff to do.

This may not help, but I think you should go where you'd have the most fun. I think you'd love to see Brad and baby, but unless you are willing to do stuff around town by yourself when everyone else needs to rest, you might not have fun. (You do seem very able to make your own fun, so I'm not seriously worried...)

LV is fun, but if you want to do that, I'd recommend NOT during the summer, when it's an oven. I don't like gambling, but it's fun to just see the different casinos. Paris and New York, New York are pretty incredible.

I definitely think if you want to travel, you should travel, so I nix the fanfic one.

NYC or somewhere you've never been before are certainly fun options. I bet you'd be able to meet up with people you know either way--you know a LOT of people from online! :) You do know people in NYC, certainly.
