Outsourcing and the press

I remember several years ago how the financial reporters were praising the trend of outsourcing- the notion that someone in India or the Philippines could do the back office or accounting work as part of a worldwide team

And it was written with impeccable English.

India has 90-million English-speaking citizens and that number is growing by the day. The USA, in comparison, has 250-million English-speaking citizens -and that number seems to be stalling and in danger of backsliding in the very near future.

I think we should outsource all our mass media and news sources to India. They can't do a worse job than that which the US press is already doing.
