When traveling abroad, look for a little green man

Yahoo linked me to an interesting article tonight.  It never occurred to me that our EXIT sign in the US was completely different from everyone else, and after reading the article, I think (as with the metric system) the non-American version is better.  Ours demands that you can actually read English, while the meaning of the other is obvious to ( Read more... )

Yay, I thought maybe you were sick or something!

I'm sorry if I helped to keep you up past when you should have. I know that staying up too late is something I need to work on as well.

...but I totally have two Mondays worth of pics I want to share and several that I took just for you...I'm sure you can guess what they're related to...

Heh, the thing is, I'm active at night by nature, so even if I didn't have IM, some other activity probably would have been keeping me up anyway, and I'd be abstaining from that. I'm still doubting that this'll actually do anything for me in the long term. xD

Ooh, sweet! You think you could wait until monday? I have to work on my English, and Lit papers this weekend.
(BTW. Madame Bovary = most annoying fictional chick ever. Worse. Than. Umbridge. D= )

I will keep that in mind...I also thought what I've seen/read of Anna Karenina also made her come off as annoying as well.

I can wait until Monday...if I get home in time, Mondays tend to be our Disney days as long as the weather holds. We're going to ride Barnstormer as long as Toontown is still there and probably the rockets.

Yeah, I saw that article on Yahoo, too. I never even thought about how exit signs could be different across the world.

Can't wait to see the icons!

Hmm...Do I smell high school drama lurking somewhere???

Good topic choice!!!

It is sort of a 'duh' moments when you think of it. Not everyone in the world reads English after all. Hence why pictures are so useful.

Ehehe, more like ReligiousMoralPoliticalSocial drama, and a quarter-life crisis. D=
