I finally decided to utilize more of the resources available to me as a student, so I'm scanning in some photos from early in my travels. Here are a couple from Russia:
Hey Brendon :) The first pic with the AK is superb!! Only the green head band and a poster in the background with the slogan "Alaahu Akbar" is missing :))
Your photos are really great, man! Please don't stop posting them here in your LJ :) What's there on the third one? Is it a mirror, or just a glass missing?
Silly thing - that was virtually my first camera - I had no clue how to use it when I was still in St Petersburg - I even ruined a couple rolls of film because of it.
The third one - it's a advertisement 'window' without an ad, so actually, it's just glass and the church is on the other side.
I'm not sure what it's called. It's in the mountains near Karata, Dagestan. My guess is that this instrument exists through mountainous Dagestan & Chechnia.
