That's some good stuff right there. Okay, I'll bite. :)

1. There is a light that never goes out - The Smiths: My alltime favorite Smiths song. I have such vivid memories of it. The first summer I spent with schmitt she drove me to the airport, we were crying and singing along to this song, and holding hands.

2. Never let me down again - Depeche Mode: From their best album ever, Music for the Masses, listening to the extended version still manages to give me goosebumps.

3. Who says - Mesh: This little known band from Bristol has produced my favorite album of the year. If you like electronic music in any form, this kicks so much ass.

4. Play Dead - Björk: Another song that always gives me goose bumps. I used to be a huge Björk fan and this is her best solo song, IMHO.

5. Pump - The Sugarcubes: Staying with Björk, this is my favorite song from when she was just a crazy lead vocalist in a weird Icelandic band.

6. The Perfect Kiss - New Order: I associate this song with The Shining which I read at the time that Substance was on heavy ( ... )

Excellent, I will give all of these a listen! I only know about half of these.

I <3 The Cure and almost put them on my own list, probably would've picked Open or Pictures of You.

Ok, that Mesh song is great, and I'd never heard the long version of that New Order song before. I should really invest in some of their albums outside of the Best Of compilation I have.

White Lies = most excellent and totally up my alley. Will have to investigate them further.

As for LaRoux, I can't ever listen to any of her songs without thinking of this clip from Nevermind the Buzzcocks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBukQEdioVI
