My Scrapbook has been "migrated." There are no preview images, the structure of nested galleries has turned into a long flat list of galleries, and my friends-locked images are gone or else hidden in some obscure corner

Flickr's terms of service look much better than Photobucket's: only a limited right of reuse and a prohibition only on "defamatory," not "derogatory," content. But I remember how Yahoo tried to screw Geocities users when it acquired that service, so I'm still wary about them.
Another option is just to upload images to my own website. It's less automatized, but it gives me the most control. There must be some software for creating gallery pages.
I've been using Photobucket for years now without any trouble. The copyright thing is not nice, but then, I'm not an artist and I wouldn't upload any pictures to anywhere on the web if I really don't want them spread. I also tend to not name the files I upload or add meta data, so finding them on accident should not be too easy.
