The door’s not there when Cathy tries to leave a few hours after this. She grumbles, a bit, but it’s another five hours until show time--which is a little over 5 days here-- and they’ve practiced the routine a thousand times. The Cathy who backs into the bar today is a lot shorter than usual (given that she's four, this is to be expected). Her brown-red hair is still nearly blond, and pulled back into a semi haphazard ponytail. She's wearing a bright pink dress, and has a box full of TREASURES in her arms (princess-type plastic jewelry in a shoebox).

Cathy was sitting on one of the crates outside the tent after the matinee in Mexico, filling out some paperwork for the boss. It wasn’t anything complicated, just an insurance policy he needed the basics filled in on so he could sign it on the bottom. The trailer is quiet today, not filled with the dedicated quiet interspersed with things being dropped when they're getting ready or the abandoned silence during shows. It is, instead, kind of what Cathy figures any normal home sounds like--the quiet of people existing in various rooms apart from each other, not doing anything of great importance. ( Read more... ) -

Cathy’s not stupid. That might sound a bit illogical, from what she feels about this subject, but she’s not. She can read people well, and while she can’t analyze situations with the skill of someone trained to do so-for a civilian she has a pretty sharp mind.
