After the news broke last week that season 15 will be the last season, I've taken some time away from fandom to let myself breathe; I've commented on posts here and there, but I haven't seen the latest episode, and I haven't done my episode drabble. I felt like I needed some space to let the news sink in, but a week later and I still feel kind of

We are in this together, it's hard to think it's ending, but I'm hoping the fact that it's we know so far in advance will give them time to create a wonderful ending. It's going to be tough saying goodbye to the characters though.

You're absolutely, right! We are in the all together and while I know they can't please everyone with the last episode, I'm sure we'll all be churning out our own ideas and drabbles and art and it'll be a glorious time for our fandom as we all pull together ♥

I am so glad Jared and Jensen have asked the network and show runners that they'd like to have a hand in the final season. No one knows those characters better than them. It's going to be hard but I hope they go out with a bang and give us lots of wonderful moments to create with.

Me too! Personally I'd like the finale to focus on the brothers, and to give us all lots of feels. But I guess they're going to please everyone, and that's what fandom, I guess. I'm intrigued to know what they have in mind, but also terrified about thinking about it!

*hugs* I feel like I'm still a little in shock about it, too. I was at work when I first got the news so I wasn't able to immediately cry it out like I wanted to, lol. So I held it in and sure enough, as I'd feared I did a little too well and wasn't able to get it out once I got home

*hugs back* I think you're right maybe I just need to sink myself back into fandom and writing because these characters will always be there for us to engage and enjoy; whether there are new episodes or not.

Thank you for sharing your experience with me; it certainly makes me feel better to know that I'm not alone in this, and that we have each other. Just because the show is ending, it doesn't mean that fandom is ♥

I'm having a much harder time than I thought I would. I'm hoping I won't feel quite so lost and sad next year. Thank goodness we know now, yes, it's be even worse if we didn't find out until after hiatus it was the end.

I hope we stick together afterwards. Firefly fandom was around for a long, long time after the show was cancelled, and other fandoms still keep rolling, if maybe quieter. :)

*hugs back* It really has shaken a lot of people; me included. I think I'm still processing it, and probably will be for a long time. It truly is a blessing that this was decided ahead of time, and I'm incredibly grateful for that.

Me too! I think we're such a massive fandom that numbers will dramatically decrease, but I hoping that my friends here will remain and we'll keep it alive for many many years to come ♥

I'm with you. I still can't process that there is actually an end date. It still seems surreal. I can't even imagine how I'm going to feel this time next year...

I'm scared of how I'm going to react to the finale and the aftermath, I'm in a pretty pathetic state of denial at the moment.

Pathetic denial is the best way to describe how I'm feeling too!!! It's like I don't want to admit what's happening, so I've hit pause so things can't move forward (I still haven't watched the latest episode!)

I'm going to try and not let myself think too much about the last episode, and how I'm going to feel. It's just a little much at the moment. Take care ♥
