Yeah, it's a very different (yet not much less fascinating) world when you're on the inside, isn't it? It does take some getting used to. So, are you still CT then? Or did you leave the company entirely?
The thing with Costuming and their hours is frustrating to a lot of people, but it is what it is for now. Look at it this way- at least it's open every day. I'm sure I've told you that for a while they'd tried having it only open five days a week. You can imagine the operational issues caused by that experiment. I never did note their hours at that point, or whether closing at 18:00 was a way to have the place open every day but for the same number of hours every week as the five-day plan. Fortunately, for my department, our branch of Costuming is open pretty much whenever the park is, and it wouldn't work any other way.
Speaking of my department, there is something Hips might be interested in hearing about...
I could not tell you. XD When I declined, I sent a polite e-mail to casting explaining the situation, and that I would like to remain as a CT.
Given they never asked me for my badge and I never got a 'you're terminated' response, I think I'm CT. Even so. I turned in all my clothes, and I'm not going to worry about it for a while.
If I discover I've been let go quietly, I won't shed tears. Kinda didn't want to burn the bridge, but the hospital has really needed me for shifts. That was the problem. Disney needed 3 days for part time... and I can't control WHEN on those 3 days they'll put me. I worked 11p-7am, Disney had me 12p-8p, and then I would have to work 11p-7am the next night.
Oh, believe me, when or if you're "separated" from the company, you'll know. };> But yeah, they do tend to want full availability from CR and FT cast, and... they really do mean it when they say full availability. There isn't a minute of the day I when I haven't worked for the company at least once, and unless you get a regular bid (which pretty much means being FT anyway- and probably with some seniority to boot) it's hard to say when you'll be working.
So yeah, you're probably CT. Just remember, the quarterly availability collection periods are still going to keep coming (one should be going on right now in fact, if I recall correctly) and they still have the 150 hours requirement.
It's my understanding that quarterly collection isn't a concern so much as the 150. I'll remain as a CT until my year hits, pretty sure, and will only be carried over if I have my 150. That's if I understood it correctly when speaking with Disney.
Awesome. I have been watching a anime that makes me think of you. That means you'll probably hate it. Anyway, check out Penguindrum if you haven't already. It's a "magical girl" anime but it's so weird and over the top and deals with human bonds forged through tragedy.
Glad you're doing well. I've been living with my boyfriend for three years now. He's not furry, per se, but he IS an elephant!
I'm still writing, no publishing for now, still working out details of my story, but it's gotten huge and complex and I have 3 novel rough drafts as well as a screenplay.
In a sense yes. I wrote a series of chapters, slice of life stuff about a young wolf in high school coming to terms with his sexuality. Apparently people liked it. Though I've been sitting on Chapter 7 for some time.
What I've been wanting to do is start writing Osopelea, which is my fantasy world stuff. I've got lots of notes on it, but not so much truly finished.

Just impossible to do.
