I haven't updated in a long time and haven't been on LJ for like a week, but do yourselves a favor and see this movie:

I think it was for me what There Will Be Blood was for the majority of movie nerds. Despite Evan Rachel Wood's sometimes ridiculous acting....oh my God. I would have this movie's baby if I could. Best one I've seen in the ( Read more... )

i'm so glad it was good -- i haaaaate evan rachel wood, and i don't know if i can look at mickey rourke for 2 hours, plus i was afraid it would be life-affirming, so i was on the fence about it. good to know i was wrong :]

I'm pretty indifferent towards her since I haven't seen her in a lot of stuff, but that was just BAD.

Haha, poor Mickey Rourke. He is so damn perfect in that movie, though. You need to see it!

thirteen is like the worst movie i've ever seen. do yourself a favor and never see it :\

Oh! I think I saw parts of Thirteen on HBO a few years ago or something. All I remember is thinking how fear-mongering it was (OMG PROTECT YOUR DAUGHTERS!!1!) and that the ending was ridiculous. I don't think I hated it, but I don't really want to see it again.
