Congratulations! I've always found another good tip is to give each other space, we both have our own things we like to do together and things we do seperate. It's stood us in good stead.
And age wise. I was 30 when we married *he* was 21 - yeah toy boys!
I agree on the space thing. Folks always comment on how big our house is (usually they say "all this room and no kids?") and I say I need it so when I get annoyed at the wife I can go be somewhere else (for the record, the house is only a 3 story, with 5 ish bedrooms and 2 bathrooms--hardly a mansion!)
That's not a very huge age difference, either. Yesterday I was watching the Maury Povich show (high quality t.v. for sure) and they had couples with HUGE differences (like 20+ years). It was a little creepy when the one guy was marrying a woman who was younger than his daughter (and the woman wasn't even old enough to drink--she was 20 and he was pushing 50!)
The fact that one can be old enough to vote, drive, marry and join the army but not old enough enough to have a glass of wine in some places in the US completely baffles me.
Congratulations to you both! These days, ten years is a significant achievement.
And I totally agree on the wisdom of separate blankets. Dino and I have always had separate and we're halfway through 13 years now. It's also a boon when one partner has wildly different temperature tolerance from the other, in addition to the benefits you listed.
Congrats! Ten years is quite the feat nowadays. I'm approaching 3 years myself though it feels closer to seven because we dated four years prior (hell I even insisted on getting married on our old anniversary because I refused to toss away the four years we'd been together just because a piece of paper told me I'd started fresh
( ... )
*evil snicker* I love that you're playing your cards close to your chest. If it were me, I'd be tempting to not tell them until labor hit! Then it would only be an "I think I might be" comment!

And I sometimes get comments because my SO is (almost exactly) ONE YEAR younger than I am, I can't imagine what random idiots say to you.

My wife is like a furnace. That's why he sleeps on the side of the bed nearest the open window/air conditioner/fan. I need a little buffer!
