Let's see, I am approaching my third anniversary. The first year I gave him a card so I guess that counts as paper. The second year, I gave him another card and this year will most likely also be a card, but I make the cards so that has to count for something.
I think I had told my parents I was never getting married for so long that once I started dating Kevin and was serious enough to move across country to live in the same state as him they didn't bother to ask if we were ever getting married during the first two years of dating although during the first year of the two year engagement my dad was doing everything he could think of to get me to get married where they live (which we did but it was more because my grandma can't fly/won't fly and I really wanted her to be there for the wedding). Due to my health issues neither set of inlaws asks about grandchildren but based on what my parents have been telling me it is good we live here instead of there, because apparently is it an almost daily question from the people who visit their store and that would drive me up a wall.
