Not sure how I feel about the Nationals this year. I guess...I'm not trying to attach any meaning to winning or losing. Just...playing tennis and enjoying the experience. Preferably with the amnesia or anything like that this time around

You're too young to be jaded. Although I think, perhaps, that since you've played most of the people you could be facing again, and watched matches with the rest, there is a certain lack of excitement. I feel it too.

No one's yoo young to be jaded, Tezuka-buchou. Just depends on what they've seen in life. I'm not sure what that says about any future in the sport....

Mm, perhaps. And you have seen quite a bit, for someone your age. I think, perhaps, a wider variety of players might excite you. You thrive on the competition, on figuring out techniques and how to defeat them...

Well, yeah~ If you think about it, we've been playing the same people since Middle school. There's some matches I wanna replay just to see if I can win again or people who I haven't played against yet that I really want to.

Nothin's ever routine 'bout a tennis match, Koshimae~ You can keep playin' the same person over and over again an' the results'll always be different everytime. You should know that by now after all the matches we've played together~ But at the same time, yeah, it's always good to have somethin' new ta look forward to too~ Though who knows~? Ya might find somethin' new and interestin' in someone ya met before but didn't get to see for yerself 'til now~
