ARGH, your finger! I can't even read that without flinching. Definitely don't pop the blister! *runs away*

Well, I mean, if it really gets to be a problem, I might ask the Health Center to pop it for me--but right now my biggest difficulty is keeping this bad boy dry in the shower, so I can live. It doesn't even hurt to lay on my side anymore.

The secret dual purpose of the armor plating is so I don't have to keep looking at it. But don't tell anyone. ::shushes::

Well, I hope it doesn't turn out to be a problem -- it just sounds so horrible!

On a side note, thank goodness for Health Centers. I twice [accidentally] stabbed myself in the hand with linocutting tools and and once slammed my own finger in a door when I was in school, and went running off to the college Health Center each time! :P

Our Health Center is a little bit overloaded, though--there's always a long wait during open clinic hours and it's hard to get appointments. It also doesn't help that the governor is fucking with their funding. Stupid governor...

And a big YEOWCH to the linocutting tools! I got to play with those one in high school, and I can just imagine what stabbing yourself with one feels like! Did it at least leave an interesting scar to break the ice at parties?

Whoa. The lignuistics thing was craaaazy. And I think the key point was made in her comment about "speaking written English". That was just a really cool article... post thing.

And Dain seems to show up in v. random places.

The article was very interesting. And I recognized some of the stuff she mentioned as things I used to do, especially the eye contact thing--but I trained myself out of it, just like I deliberately started using more casual pronounciation in high school. So I guess I can now "pass" for a mundane. Hee.

Very interesting article. You could probably make a Lumos presentation of some sort out of it. ;-)

Is that a hint, oh Lumonus one? ;-)

Actually, I think Lumos would be a great place to start a study. I can see the whole design in my head as we speak. Know and good grant sources? :-)

I pimp because I care. :-D Unfortunately, the funding issue is not one I can help with.

There needs to be a guide for people trying to do research on the cheap. It could have a whole chapter on how to get your photocopying for free without getting arrested.
