Stacking Open Windows

There used to be a time when, if you had a bunch of windows open on your desktop, you could do something to stack them so that their titlebars were showing one above the next in a slanted progression ( Read more... )

That option hasn't existed for quite some time, as far as I know. The closest you're going to get is to use Exposé's feature to show you all open windows for a given application (Ctrl+DownArrow or four-finger-swipe down if you're like me and use the trackpad).

*sigh* I was afraid that might be the case. I'm finding lots of functions that I used all the time aren't available anymore in the name of "progress". Exposé doesn't cut it. Even on my 21" iMac all open Pages docs (usually around 8-10) look alike and are too small to read the titles.

Thanks for the "Arrange in Front" tip. Not quite what I'm looking for, but closer than I could get them before. It stacks the windows in a line, left to right so all titles are at the same level, covering one another.

I'll check out Moom, too. Thanks for the info.
