So that was fan-bloody-tastic as he always is! :-) Setting was a big mirrored chamber with cold blue-ish lighting for Venice and warm orangy-yellow for Belmont ( Read more... )

Did you have any dressed-up fans in knight costumes, clacking coconut shells in time? We had a Deadly Rabbit fan... as well as Arthur and four knights. Yeh, I like Spamalot. The Jew song... well, it was VERY much a Broadway-relevant insert, maybe they'll change it to something taking the piss out of Mary Poppins or We Will Rock You!

Er, hello, by the way. Do you ever visit Musicals.net? The Social club forum is quite lively.

Didn't see anyone dressed up - not in Grand Circle where I was (either in NYC or here). When I saw it here the other day, it was a wet Monday eve and everyone joining in the singing (and humming it as they left the theatre) was great fun though. I know Robert Hands a bit (who is the UK Sir Robin) and spoke to him briefly. He loves the number and did it beautifully, though it didn't get the knowing laughter it gor on Broadway)

He does do a lovely job as Sir Robin. The chap playing Sir Lancelot, to me, bears a more than striking resemblance to a certain Theatre Practice course director (lovely bloke) at my younger daughter's college - heeheehee I LOVED the finale of his Latin number - that end pose, of course, being the classic Greaseball 'I'm so Beautiful' pose from Starlight. And at least three of the ensemble would know it... ahh what a wonderful small interlinked world it is, in Musical Theatre!
