She claims you can't be depressed?? WTF?? I self-diagnosed myself at the age of 8 (and I probably had it longer than that) when I read an article on it, but didn't get actually diagnosed by a doctor with it till I was 14. Still though....young people most DEFINITELY CAN be depressed!!!!!!!!

And I'm sorry about all the shit that's going down with your mum. :( :::::::::::::HUGS::::::::::::: I wish there were more I could do. If you want to talk on AIM, just say the word and I'll be on.

Thanks Jen *hugs* I know you understand this more than anyone else. I'm on the comp most nights but with the time difference I can't work it out right now so I'll e-mail you to let you know when I'm on.

Yeah I know but god she just kept being really saracastic about the things I was telling her and all it did was make me mad and run me down further. I hate my docs I mean they shove pills on me instead of getting me counselling and I REFUSE to be on pills for the rest of my life. I so need a new doc.

Yeah, you definitely need a new doctor if that's the case! As for counselors, you don't need a doctor to recommend one. You can start seeing one on your own (that's what I did). Depending on whether or not you have health insurance (and whether or not it covers it), it probably should pay for the majority of the costs of seeing the counselor each week. Like....my counselor typically charges about $90 a session. With coverage, I only pay $10 each time. So I'm not sure how the health care plans in the UK work, if they're similar or not, but I imagine they probably are somewhere around the same. I'm sure you could probably even search online for counselors near you, and if you'd like some help, either email me or IM me if I'm on and I can help you with what to look for. :)

Yeah well she was the one who kept telling me I had sinus. It was tonsilitis and I was in agony but she was all like no it's sinus and cos of the pills she gave me for sinus I started to cough up blood. That's when she realised how wrong she was. That was the worst pain ever.

Thanks I really appericate that. That would be great if you could help me with that. I mean I've gone to No Limits (free counselling for under 25's)and I was supposed to start counselling back in March and I haven't heard anything from them.

Over here we don't have health insurance. That's all payed for in taxes. But to see a counsellor it's like £50 unless a doc refers you to one.

okay, she has major problems. i am guessing i am one of the 18 year old friends in america you spoke of and i can tell you - it's not blown out of proportion!!!! it's very real and oh my gah!!!! i wish i could do something!!!!

Yeah you were one of the 18 years olds I was talking about cos I remember you saying before that you had it. I just can't believe what her attitude was like it was like she was trying to make me kill myself with how saracastic she was being.

Yeah she does I just hope she is gone for good. She has told the police but they won't talk to my dad intill they have tested my mum.
