OK - i'm just going to say this once - I order a TON of gay erotica from amazon.com ... srsly a TON! and when i saw the whole "amazonfail" deal, i was upset, but i JUST put in an order two weeks ago with no problem, so i ran over to amazon to check it out - search bar is working just fine for me. i see no problem with GLBT, nor do i see a problem ( Read more... )

If you're searching specifically in the book section, it will usually find them. If you don't specify that in the search box, it might not. What's really at stake is the "rank in sales" which is generally the last data line in the product details section that includes publisher, date of publication, etc ( ... )

I have a confession to make. I placed an order with Amazon last night, even after the shit had hit the fan. *cringes* In my own defense, I did try to place my order with Borders first, but the YA book I wanted to get my niece was cheaper at Amazon, and I had my lovely wishlist of homoerotica all handy and shiny there...

Whether it was a "coding error" or not, I think Amazon will scramble for damage control--meaning they'll rectify this soon (if it hasn't been done yet). Public backlash is a horrifying thing. *nods*
