In January Oberlin has something called a winter term. Its a period of four weeks or so in which you fabricate a project for yourself or choose from a wide array of pre-planned projects to complete before the end of the time period

hey, I totally didn't realize that you were studying with him! It makes sense, but somehow i just hadn't thought of it. How's it going with him and bassoon and stuff?

things are going okay. its hard to find a good time and place to practice because i live so far away from the music building and i have classes all day...next quarter will be better though because i have a huge gap between my classes everyday so i'll try to practice then.
