Open letters to the US Open

Dear News Media,

I hear some kid in Nebraska's been hiding in the shed for two hours! Quick! Go call him shed boy and further insult the intelligences of your stupid, STUPID audience. That's much easier than reporting on real news.

Love,

M. McGregor

Dear M. McGregor,

Have you considered not watching cable news, or am I being comically obvious?

Dear mymatedave,

Way ahead of you. I don't technically have what you would call "cable tv" so if I even wanted to watch cable news (we're assuming this is a scenario where I have just suffered some sort of personality altering brain injury) it would require a hell of a lot of work on my part.

Nope, my all encompassing range was built purely on print and online media. I merely assumed that if it was this bad there, it would be even worse on cable news.

Love,

M. Mcgregor

Here I thought that the US open had to do with golf.

I've been meaning to ask.

How do you make the line breaks you've got between each memo? I've been using strings of hyphens to separate my stories from the breakdowns following them, but it doesn't look so good on people's friends lists.
