They did it. Damn, they really did it. The boys just kicked out Russia out of the game. Poland officially reaches the semifinals in the Volleyball World Championship. And I'm bloody exctatic

And they went. Our boys didn't stop at eliminating the Russians, they also beat the Serbs into the floor just this morning. Which I really would have hard time believing if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes.
It means that our team leaves the pool from the first place and they don't have to play against Brazil (the Olympic Champions and the current World Champions, and, well, pretty much unbeatable bastards) in the semifinals but against Bulgaria (the second place from the other pool). And we actually have a legitimate chance to win against them and fight for gold. The chance for snatching the gold from (presumably) Brazilians' clutches is pretty unlikely, but, still, it's there.

Soory for all this gushing. I'm currently living on a volleyball high. It should pass in a week or so ;)

Thanks. Then you'll be happy to know that Poland beat Bulgaria in the semifinals and now is all set to fight Brazilia for the gold tomorrow. Oh my, I'm so psyched.
