I just got my braces set which means that my teeth hurt so much that I'm seriously starting to contemplate knocking myself unconscious. Which would be a pretty extreme move so best left as a fall-back plan rather than the main course of action. For now, I'm just going to think happy thoughts, I'll see that that works.

I basically spent the last three days reading X-Men comics. Which wasn't supposed to happen. The result is that I have an exam in about four hours and I haven't even started on the studying. Well, better late than never, right?

Kraków is celebrating its 750th anniversary (and it really is quite thrilling to live in a city that has been officially a city since 1257). So apparently 'The Nine' goes bye-bye after all. ABC threw some vague promises about it returning sometime later this season, but I'm not feeling particularly optimistic.
And it's a shame they took it off. Granted, from all my shows, it's 'The Nine' that I would miss the least, but I was actually starting to get attached. So, no, it's not cool.

I've just finished 'Lux Perpetua', the last part of Andrzej Sapkowski's Hussite Wars Trilogy, the book I eagerly waited two whole years for. And I'm actually a bit disappointed. It felt anticlimatic. Poland is so far gliding through the Volleyball World Championship. Go team. What makes me less happy is the fact that said championship take place in Japan, which means that all the fun is happening around 7 am, when there's just no way I could possibly be woluntarily awake. The cruelty the world sometimes treats me with is simply staggering.
