If you're looking for a refreshing drink without sugar/salt/caffeine you should try vinegar. I don't know how available it is in the U.S. but it's kind of normal to see a shelf of vinegar drink boxes in the convenience store here. If you can see that, that means vinegar. I think the kind I have is black vinegar made from rice. But rice is white! So confusing.

Ooo, that sounds good. Though this is coming from someone who is scared to try Calpico...it's mostly my phobia of clearish milky liquids. I hope I can find it, there are like 4-5 Japanese supermarket all around me [and I've seen Yakult brand products around].

The Yakult lady comes to my work once a week on a scooter and sells things out of a cooler! And I'm sure you can find it, I think it got pretty popular just in the past few years because it was on tv.

Obviously I can't believe I'm moving either, or I wouldn't be sitting around wasting time on the Internet...
