It's the only time in Boston when the smell of something more natural ever more or less takes over the smell of air pollution. I love it.
There were a lot of "woohoo!"'s on this trip. The best part, though, was the looks we kept getting from people walking on the street and sitting on their porches.
It was funny, we actually saw more cyclists yesterday after the rain started than before. A few of them looked grumpy but most of them seemed pretty "woohoo" themselves.
Also reminds me of the time my family biked from Barrington RI, to Colt State Park. Which is only 14 miles round trip so not nearly as impressive except I was 7 at the time and the training wheels had just come off.
I remember when I was around 7 my whole family did a little 18 mile bike ride somewhere on Martha's Vineyard. I was pretty impressed. It was the furthest I'd ever gone on a bicycle.
