With breaks it took from around 10:30 am until about 8 pm...but we took a lot of breaks, including stopping for a sit-down sushi lunch in Providence. We figured we had better baby ourselves considering the miserable weather. :-)
I think that's too early for us to do any kind of record-breaking rides, but you should take the train up to Boston and we can see what kinds of places we can get to from there in a reasonable amount of time. Or we could just bike around the area or along the shoreline or something. Take your pick. :-) It doesn't look like I'm going to be busy that day.
Is there any way to get to TF Green from Boston at 5:30am, on a Sunday morning? If there is I can take the train up Friday after school. Which means, I need to pack everything before then.
I think that might be a bit too ambitious for American public transit systems. The first Sunday Greyhound bus from Boston gets in to Providence at 11:55 am, and that's before the first commuter rail train to South Attleboro even leaves Boston.
If you're trying to stick to public transit, you're definitely going to have to leave at a "reasonable hour" on Saturday night. Otherwise a car will probably have to be involved. I suppose I can check on that, but I'm not too optimistic. My parents are getting stingy about lending it out for Providence trips these days.
