I'm reading A Chance at Childhood Again and Captivating: Unveiling the Mystery of a Woman's Soul.

The first one is excellent.  It's got a beautiful message, and it's written nicely.  I think the title explains it well, but the book is about being childlike, like the Bible is always talking about.

"Such a retreat would never occur to small children. They know that goofing up goes with the territory of being a little kid." I don't think that's totally true. I think adults often idealize childhood, but the reality is that kids can be neurotic and have crappy emotional stuff going on as much as grownups can, and psychology and psychiatry have started realizing that. In a more concrete sense...I remember, all the time, making social mistakes as a kid or doing other things ineptly and feeling AWFUL about it. Not when I was a really really little kid, because you can't remember that far back...but pretty young. I was always kind of neurotic though.
