Aha! More people talking about themselves in the third person, and in type, even! We recently had a discussion with Ysa about whether or not that works in English.

Athena points out that if you spend less on plants, you'll have more for manga, so it's all about opportunity cost, and what kind of pretty things you want to be surrounded with. Manga has the added benefit of storylines, but flowers have the added benefit of color. Sounds like a tough call.
I had to search to find where I used third person, but you're right! I think I do second person more often, even. I usually use it when I'm pointing out my shortcomings or reprimanding myself. I know it seems like something little kids often do in manga, use their own name to refer to themselves, and then it seems to be retained for cutesy(?)-effect when they're older (Miharu uses 3rd person, I think) It probably does stand out as "odd" more in English than in Japanese (because I don't think kids here do anything like that, so it doesn't have a role of normalcy). I will come by tomorrow!! I don't think I will make it to church (mom invited me, but I think tonight is going to be a late night... and... yeahhhh) BUT after that you don't work, do you?
Also, I had that dessert you made. It was so good!! Thank you for making sure I got it, and for welcoming me back... I miss you sis!
Oh also I just remembered as I typed this, but I think I want to get my laptop fixed (I'll figure something out, I'm sure...) and bring it over there for collaboration with Curt on our art/music project. SO I will be spending more time there anyway! Starting hopefully soon.
