gardens!

Today was a lovely fall day and our local Garden and Sculpture Park was having an herb festival, so my mum and I went to see what there was to see. I enjoyed the food samples, she enjoyed the goat milk soap and lecture on "green cleaning." And we both enjoyed looking at all the fall flowers! Aw, now I wish I could go to the Gardens. We have a few interesting plants flowering in our greenhouse, though, including our hibiscus. (you're right, btw, the 'flowering maple' is closely related to Hibiscus, common names are so misleading...) I'll try to take some pictures, my favorite flower is close to blooming, too.

Yay, flowers!! Yeah, I know flowering maple isn't actually any kind of maple. The leaves just look... vaguely... like one. I bought seeds to try growing it last year, but they didn't do a thing! I am still bitter over that. Post pics, post pics!!
