already an exciting morning...

Ahh! My cat! Caught a bird! I mean, he JUST caught it! I went downstairs and opened and closed the front door to begin the morning ritual of letting in the cat. Normally he hears this noise and comes up running and yowling for the door to be opened again so he can get inside and eat. But this morning I heard no yowls. I opened the door again

Wow, that is exciting! We hope the bird wasn't hurt too badly!

I hope so too!! It seemed to have no problem flying away (it went all the way across the yard and up into the trees), so I think I must have got to it before much damage was done!
