So I was reading the newspaper today and I found an article saying that Russia was threatening to stop all adoptions by citizens of the US because a 7 year old boy was sent back to Moscow alone because his adopted American mom said he was a violent psychopath. And I know. I mean, sure, kids can be sociopaths, but you run the risk of getting a kid with issues when you adopt. Kids don't become parentless because of happy events.

But yeah, this incident really angered me when I heard about it. The nerve of some people! I'm not one for kids, but holy shit, lady, you didn't adopt a dog (which wouldn't make the situation any different, but you know what I mean), you brought a human child into your home, one who needed love and care. How very dare you, and I hope you DIAF. D:<

Also, I like seeing America's asshole side because I don't like him. *clings to Russia*

I understand wanting to stop all adoptions, though I wish there could be better ways of seeing what kind of parent people would be. Generally adopted parents are better (least likely to be abusive, etc.) since they've worked so hard to get the kid, but that's still no guarantee.

also, children are like shirts. you can return them with a proper reciept
