Someone, get me a fan!

Jun 09, 2007 01:31

It's way past midnight and it's still 25C (77F) outside. That's just not right. It's these few hot summer days (all three of them) that make me wish we had air conditioning. Most of the time there's no point in having one, but goddammit, I'm melting and I want it!
Should be 30C (around 80F) tomorrow. Please, someone, kill me now.

I finally saw Read more... )

The 'chips' comment was totally a 'don't worry about them, we'll get a take-away and curl up on the couch and cuddle'. Which would be a far better way to celebrate, I'm sure.

I did like the celebratory bit of the episode, with everyone congratulating Mel and the quip about Boyd hugging Spence.

WtD needs a fan-video.

I love those Boyd moments. Like when it's Grace's birthday and he's all awkward, asking if she wants a kiss.

:)

The need for a vid is duly seconded.

I know! Totally a 'honey, we'll get some chips on the way home and celebrate, just the two of us'. I think I squeed out loud.

The celebratory bit was sweet; it's great to see how the whole team really is like a family. Boyd and Grace are so the parental figures, heh.

I need to vid WtD.

77F? You guys are weak. I get over 100F all the time in California. You just have to drink lots of water. :P

For a Finn, 80C with ridiculous humidity is leathal :p But yeah, it was 90F in Florida just last week, but somehow it feels more horrible over here. I'm blaming the humidity.

Give me winter anytime!

"Aww, we'll get chips"

Totally fic-worthy. And the hug should be watched multiple times.

I have been trying to vid over the past week or so (not WTD, but I am very in favour of WTD vidding!) but WMM is driving me insane. As is my computer. I need to invest in a new one before I think of investing in better editing software.

Also - eeeeeeeeeeeee! Katharine McPhee!

So fic-worthy. And so was the ending of "Walking On Water"; I'm contemplating a fic idea in my head right now.

I have been trying to vid over the past week

Yay! More vids! What fandom(s)?
WMM is crap. Or, yeah, maybe it's my computer. But whatever it is, I'm forced to save the vid as a .wmv file whenever I want to see if timing etc. works, because for some reason the WMM playback doesn't work properly. It's taking me at least twice as long to complete a 15-second part than usually. Hell!

Katharine McPhee!

OMG, don't tell me you're a fan as well??

I'm contemplating a fic idea in my head right now.

*claps excitedly* I've actually started a fic based on 'Fugue States' (which you won't have seen yet) but there are two conflicting ways it could go in my head and I can't seem to choose one. There are also possibilities for 'Anger Management' (which you won't have seen either...you really need to get series 4!!!) There are a couple of used ones on ebay just now, cuz they new ones all seem to be incredibly expensive :(

Yay! More vids! What fandom(s)?

Well, I have three on the go. One is a Lisa Faulkner one (I'm such a fangirl!) to 'Don't let's talk about Lisa' by Lonestar, another is an Ash/Scribbs to 'Take me or leave me' from Rent and the latest one...well, if you take a look at my recent journal entries, you'll see there's a theme there. I am slightly obsessed with Girls Aloud at the moment, so my latest venture is to make a Cheryl/Nadine video (I ripped their concert DVDs and the documentary and music vids to practise using 'FaireUse'), so that might appear at some point ( ... )

you really need to get series 4!!!

I know! I'm so tempted to pay that £30 for it, but so far I've resisted the urge. Maybe it's something to do with Mel's faith as well. But I so need to write that fic down.

I have three on the go.

Oh, yay! Can't wait to see them! I don't think I can name one Girls Aloud song, but you've still managed to convert me into Sheryl/Nadine *g*
If I can make WMM work (or find a new programme), I'll definitely try and vid Waking the Dead and Frenkie/Mel ♥

I believe the Katharine McPhee thing is your fault.

I'd completely forgotten about that. Hee!

I'll probably be at the bus station at around three pm or so today ^^ I'll text you once I'm there. Yay for seeing you again, because omg ♥ (we'll have to pop into Siwa [or whatever the heck that tiny corner store is called] on the way, though, because I couldn't make it to Prisma yesterday D:)

So pointless for me to reply, but I'll do it anywa~y! XD

The weather is driving me insane D: Thank God most offices and public buildings have air conditioning, so I don't need to hoover when it's 30C *shudders* Same for you probably! Nokia can probably afford that XD

I'll text you once I'm there.

Yayyay! I so can't wait! <3 This is totally the highlight of my week ♥ And you'll get to see all the clips and vids and chips and lips and... Err, caffeine is bad for me in large quantities in the morning 8D

For some reason (it's the humidity, I'm sure) it never feels so bad abroad, heh. I bet I'd melt in Australia though. Isn't it winter over there at the moment? How cold does it get during the coldest months?

And 48C? I would've died when it passed 40C.

Yeah, our winters can be freezing, so it's a tie ;)

Humidity also makes it colder here during winter (-10C can feel like -40C on the skin), so I get it all here, heh.

You so need to come to Finland at some point! :D I'm totally a winter person and I love snow and the cold weather. You haven't lived until you've waded across a field of snow up to your knees *g*

Weren't you supposed to come to Finland and stalk me outside my bedroom window (oh, good times on COL)? What was all that about anyway? :D
