Despair! I've been trying to come to terms with last Sunday's general election results in Finland (seriously, what's wrong with people?!) by completely immersing myself in fandom. I've been in a real A.J. Cook kick lately and, as luck would have it, I finally had a chance to see Misconceptions, a film she did a couple of years back

Zomg Greys. I can describe how much my heart flutters when I see JCapshaw. Too goddamn cute. I'm still waiting for the BTS pics to be released in bigger size instead of the teeny tiny ones on the ABC website.

A.J. filmed this movie during the writer's strike, so it makes sense that she's totally JJ when it comes to her looks, heh. And oh, tell me about it! Criminal Minds is like a clingy boyfriend you can't get rid of.

The BTS pics need to pop up somewhere, seriously! There's just something in this paring, something that clicks with me. JCap's adorableness certainly doesn't hurt.

The preview, yes! First time around, I was completely distracted by how amazing JCap's hair looks. The episodes leading up to the wedding will be heartwrenching, I'm sure. *excited*

So far I've watched the first 3 minutes of this film. Wow. This film is going gangbusters! I've managed to catalogue five things that are completely and utterly Wrong, and that's wrong with a capital (I'm excluding the 'no gay marriage' rally, because that's just way too easy):

1. The campfire singing. Um, do radical Christians have a monopoly on this stuff?

2. The mo' on AJ's husband. That thing needs to be locked up to keep the public safe. And why are his pants so high?

3. It annoys me that AJ had to fetch her husband to carry all of two boxes for her (it's not like she doesn't have perfectly functional arms, or is pregnant with a gay couple's baby or anything). What the what? JJ could kick him into last week (and thank goodness CBS finally came to it's senses!)

4. The Rapture. It reminds me of the Simpsons episode when Homer predicts the Rapture. Hilarious

I wonder how many takes they had to do for AJ to get the "I spoke to Jesus after watching late night cable" scene done with a straight face. The gag reel for this film must be frakking hilarious.

The whole movie is a campy joke when you think about it, heh. On one hand, like you said, there are so many things WRONG with it, but on the other, it is a satirical & over-the-top description of the conservative life style without actually claiming that Christianity or believing is wrong in any way.

But oh! The fact that A.J.'s husband is basically ignoring her is wrong on so many levels. Who in their right mind would ignore someone like A.J.?! Kick him to the curb, I say! And that mustache makes me want to gag.

I could very well take it the wrong way if I didn't know the context. but anyway I'm still hung up on the rumors that Marcia Cross is a lesbian in the closet and used to date Lauren Graham (who's also in the closet!). but I guess we'll never know since she got married and had kids. :/

That clip is so hilarious! And it's definitely meant to be taken "the wrong way", which makes me love Marc Cherry even more.

But omg, why didn't I know about these rumours?!?

I'm surprised! usually you're ahead of these things!:p I only found it out like probably a year ago but they said a blind item ran a few years ago (before MC got married) about a network (DH/ABC) star planning to come out to The Advocate. and planned to announce her relationship with a star of a show on another "lesser" network (Gilmore Girls/The WB). details here. interesting read, I might add. ;)

Oh wow, it's like looking in an LJ entry mirror! We just had our general elections the Sunday before you guys did and our results were similarly vomit-inducing. You have my condolences. I want to punch nationalism (and my country's stupid voters) in the face. :/

Also, that clip FTMFW! It too makes me wanna watch the show again. Gaby/Bree wasn't my ship of choice, but I could be persuaded. Hee.
