Top10 Most Unjustified TV Cancellations

May 09, 2010 15:01

So far, 2010 hasn't been terribly good to us fangirls. Due to the recent axing of one of the best shows on television at the moment, the following list was born. Because I like making lists. Lists are fun (and totally geeky, but that's beside the point ( Read more... )

Oh, these shows *sigh* Some I haven't seen, though. Kate Walsh playing Marley Novak, I still dream about her. That's the role that made me fall in love with her. For the lack of imagination even my username is from that show. And Out of Practice I just found resently. Watched the whole show in one sitting. It is brilliant. Regina is just such a great character. I can never understand why it was cancelled.

It a shame that nearly not enough of the good shows make it to Finnish TV. Or other non-American/British networks. And 50% of the time there's some idiotic gameshows on. Or chats. I honestly don't know what I'd do without the internet!

Kate Walsh as Marley Novak = one of the best gay roles on TV ever. It's such a shame the show couldn't continue, because her brilliance would've just doubled everytime. Oh well, at least we got Addison some years later. <3

I'm mostly annoyed at the schedule of importing TV shows. Some huge hits begin airing in Finland rather quickly, but most of them we need to wait for AGES. That's why I haven't really watched TV (literally watched the box) in years - excluding a handful of Finnish programmes, of course.

Yes, I feel the pain over the cancellation of all these shows (except Medical Investigation because I was too hard core CSI at that time to actually care) and I have to add a few more to the list. Veronica Mars. Wonderfalls. Keen Eddie.

And if with all the fan effort that has been put into the campaign to save the Seeker doesn't pay off and the show gets canceled, all my fangirl dreams will be shattered and after the pain I felt over WMC, I don't think I'll ever allow myself to get invested in a fandom like I have before.

Oh, you should check out Medical Investigation! 20 episodes of in-your-face femslash. *g* Meeps! Wonderfalls = ♥

You know, I hope that the actors at least will be made aware of the fanbase and its efforts to save the show, because the LotS fandom is the BEST EVER. I don't even want to think about what happens if we get an official cancelation of the show, because right now I'm happily living in blissful ignorance.

I know for a fact that both Bridget Regan and Mike Sussman know exactly what the fans are doing to keep the show on the air. And if these two know, I'm sure all of them know. They know of and read deej's Cracky Recaps, for goodness sakes. Bridget herself pimped out Gay For Kahlan on her Twitter. They know how much we care, I just hope TPTB find it caring enough.

WMC could've been the best thing that's ever happened to the 'dramedy' genre, but they totally blew it. Blergh.

But yes! I'm very much looking forward to seeing Angie back with a gun. Om nom nom.

You forget Joss Whedon's Firefly. :P Easily #1 on my list, like Buffy with sci-fi twist.

Never got into that show, I'm afraid. :( People keep saying how awesome it is, though, so maybe I should try again at some point.

Well, in your defense, the series didn't really get far. Maybe it's the fact that episode 1 was broadcasted after the rest of them. I tell you, it would've done a lot better if they simply had started from where it was supposed to start.

At least they did a TV-movie called Serenity later.

While I agree on almost all the shows you mentioned (some I confess I've never even heard of) I find myself disagreeing with you for the first time ever.

Now that we got over this shock I can tell you why. I HATE Andy Richter. Obv every single Paget Brewster moment is wonderful but I hate every scene she doesn't appear in. In my opinion Andy Richter was a show that tried (very hard) to be funny by being politically incorrect but they tried way too hard and ended up being boring.

Honestly that whole episode where his office mate is Irish? And the Jew episode? There just weren't enought Paget scenes to make up for this.

Everything else though... spot on

Good Lord, blasphemy! :p

No, I do get it that the show wasn't for everybody, but I absolutely loved it. They definitely had a few weaker episodes during Season 2 especially, but, overall, I was very much satisfied.
