Top10 Most Unjustified TV Cancellations

May 09, 2010 15:01

So far, 2010 hasn't been terribly good to us fangirls. Due to the recent axing of one of the best shows on television at the moment, the following list was born. Because I like making lists. Lists are fun (and totally geeky, but that's beside the point ( Read more... )

I now want to go bitch-slap a TV executive.

I loved nearly all of these shows - I haven't seen Arrested Development and I would have loved Women's Murder Club if they'd stuck to the original pilot and not turned it into the Crying Detective's show - and they were so full of femslash potential that they axing is criminal.

Dammit! I really want to hit an exec!

TV would be so much better if certain fangirls were doing the writing and running the producing companies instead of the current big shots. *So* much better.

The obvious shortcomings of Women's Murder Club didn't really bother me that much - until I saw the original pilot. I mean, seriously?!? They completely wasted the goldmine that was the original pilot. Gutted, I still feel utterly gutted!

You mean I wasn't the only one in the world who watched Dead Like Me and Out of Practice??!!

Oh, hell no! Talk about perfect TV. <3

And yeah, I can definitely see why people might've found Arrested Development confusing or not very easily approachable. Like you said, most of the jokes were based on established plot points and on-going storylines, so it probably wasn't easy to start in the middle.

Women's Murder Club truly missed a golden opportunity by re-shooting the pilot. The original one? Bloody fantastic TV. With that one, the show could've been something new and exciting. Now it just fell short in every way. *sigh*

As has been mentioned elsewhere this entry as well, the most annoying thing with LotS is that it's not even the ratings that is the issue here, it's the financial problems of its producing company. Argh! Find a new one, show, please! *begs*

You know, I haven't watched any of these shows on Finnish TV, so I'm the one with a louse track records here! Thank God for the internet, that's all I'm saying.

Cara's tongue is not cancelled! Lalalaaa, I can't hear youuuuu!

Christopher Gorham is so totally a show killer yet he's always everywhere! I will forever hate him for the short life of Out of Practice.

And BoT... *tear*

*has kept her fingers crossed non-stop for the past month*

Out of Practice was the perfect sitcom, so it has to be Christopher Gorham who was the reason for the axing. Oh, poor guy, being hated by so many people. :p

Wow, I've watched a lot of those shows, too. Now necessarily in their entirety, but still.

Better Off Ted was cancelled mid-season or something, how lame is that? It simply didn't come back. And LotS, well, we don't even have to talk about this.

Most of them are pretty heavy on the femslashy side, so it's probably no wonder. *g*

The case with Better off Ted is such a disgrace; they just aired all the remaining episodes in a week or two, after which everyone simply shut up about it. Executive bastards.
