I'd say she sticks.

Global warming, I officially hate your guts. This is not what December's supposed to look like.

Yet another reason to love Paget Brewster: "I'm like this wiry freak they pulled out of a bar two months ago and said, 'Let's throw it on the wall and see if it sticks'." (SPLICEDwire interview) I don't know why I find that absolutely hysterical ( Read more... )

I love blooper reels. And I really, really love Paget Brewster in a blooper reel. I get the feeling I'll be using "mother balls" a lot in the future.

Blooper reels are fantastic. ♥ I've been known to buy DVDs just to see those, ahem. And "mother balls" certainly belongs to my vocabulary now!

Paget Brewster - Sticks Like Super Glue

That'd be the best icon ever. Too bad I suck at graphics; I need to delegate it to someone. *g*

JJ's afraid of the woods? Sugar! I don't know whether that helps my 'Emily and JJ being chase through the woods by a made psycho' fic or not. Damn.

My fondness for the old St. Trinian's films would have probably been enough to guarantee I saw the film but add that cast list and now there's no doubt. Looks like fun *g*.

'Emily and JJ being chased through the woods by a mad psycho' fic

That sounds almost too good to be true. I don't suppose we'd get to read it anytime soon...? *g*

My fondness for the old St. Trinian's films...

And this is where I confess my complete lack of knowledge on this issue: I had no idea there were other St. Trinian's films as well. I obviously need to brush up my movie history.

Nope, no time soon - it's going to be long, if it happens, and I won't post until it's finished.

As for St. Trinian's, there was a series of films back in the fifties/sixties, with Alastair Sim as the headmistress, plus George Cole and Joyce Grenfell among others. They really are an institution.

I obviously need to track down those films, for Alastair Sim if nothing else!

Oh, completely unrelated, but would you mind terribly if I asked you a language-related question? Is the word "muffler" (as in a long piece of cloth you wrap around your neck) used anymore in everyday language, or is it too old-fashioned?

hearing Paget say "Oh, mother balls" is probably the most fantastic thing ever.

It's probably in the top 5 of most fantastic things ever but, so is watching her have a minor nervous breakdown.

Oh, that is so mean, but so very fantastic at the same time! I could literally feel her pain when she thought the film was ruined, heh.

"Global warming, I officially hate your guts. This is not what December's supposed to look like."

Tell me about it. Only about 15cm of snow here. I mean, come on, give me a hell yeah! if you want the old fashioned half a meter of snow for Christmas.

"And tomorrow it's time to mock the high and mighty again!"

Aah, they have thread for us this year. Räikkönen will be attending due to his impressive Formula 1 world championship victory.

Aaaaaand, happy Independence day. Bite my free ass Russians. For any Russian Criminal Minds fans Eeva might have gathered here, no offense, you're alright.

It depresses me to no end that we probably won't see the sort of winter we had in our childhood ever again. The last two Christmasses have been downright awful over here, and it seems like it won't be any different this year.

I'm fairly sure there are none. ;)

Anyway, Happy Independence Day for real!

We have snow here, but not much. Although now it's raining so, the snow is melting.

We had some earlier this week, too, but it all melted as the new rains arrived.
