thanks! For some reason i just haven't been very inspired recently by the L&O 100 -- don't know why. But this is actually a AU idea that I've been thinking about trying to write as longer fic...we'll see.

I really like this! It's sad because they are breaking up their partnership, but she really deserves a promotion. Plus, my mind is having a field day with the endless possibilities they face when they aren't partners anymore.

I have been thinking about doing an AU based on the above premise for a while -- actually I got the idea from one of the memes where you asked me how I would end the series...it's just very diffrent from I typically do and will be a long piece...so I guess I'm a littl apprehensive, but I'm getting to place where I'm ready to try it.

But I know what you mean, the fic I spoke to you about is the same for me. It's not what I usually write and it scares me slightly, but I tell myself that I will feel good once it's done.
