Alex finally had an answer to give the captain after two weeks of going back and forth with herself and busying herself to keep from making a decsion. It was a chance for her to run a joint unit between Vice and the gang task force. It was a promotion, a change of pace, and an oppurtunity that most of the other detectives would have jumped at without hesitation. But then there was her partner.
She didn't want to be another person to up and leave, but things had gotten too close for comfort for her. Too much worrying, too much time spent wondering if they were too close or not close enough. Some distance might do them good.
"Bobby? I need to talk to you."
He nodded and then followed her into the conference room.
