Two communications satellites have collided 500 miles over Siberia, according to NASA. Satellite collision, which is a first of its kind, produced a pair of massive debris clouds. The common view now is that in about 15 years or so, there will be so much stuff in orbit, that nothing will be able to break through (deep space mission type stuff)with out colliding with something. It is getting to be a mighty crowded sky.
