The Satellite collision involved an Iridium commercial satellite launched in 1997 and a Russian satellite launched in 1993.The US Space Command is tracking about 280 pieces of debris after satellites collided in low-Earth orbit, according to CBS News. With the amount of junk we put up into orbit, this was only a matter of time, and I hope no one gets hurts when debris comes raining down :?
